Collybia obscura Favre syn. Marasmius obscurus Favre Dunkler R¡§©öbling. Cap 2-4cm across, convex then flattened or depressed, dark purple-brownish. Stem 30-70 x 2-4mm, concolorous with cap, sometimes blackish toward the base. Flesh thin, pinkish brown; microscopic examination of the flesh shows the presence of interhyphal dark brown pigment granules. Gills grey-brown to chocolate-brown. Cheilocystidia poorly differentiated, thin-walled, hyaline, worm-like, sometimes lobed at the blunt tips. Spore print white. Spores thin walled, elliptic tear-drop shaped, 6.5-7.5 x 3-4¥ì. Surface of cap formed of interwoven coralloid thin-walled brown hyphae encrusted with dark-brown granular pigment. Habitat in small tufts amongst grass. Season late autumn. Rare. Edibility unknown -avoid. Found In Europe. |
